Salomon attended a show on Saturday and he did really well, he received cert and re-cacib and was the second best male in the show.
Actually was Jaanika who did well because Salomon did not care about a thing what was going on around him.
Jaanika was bouncing and jumping, dancing, singing around to win Salomon’s attention but hopelessly…
Still, in the end of the day the judge loved our baby boy despite all that.
The judge’s comments picking the best dog were the following:
These are two of my favourite dogs! One moves in a super manner and in the other one I see a porwerful and strong male. I am in between which one should win…
Regrettably I don’t have a photo about Salomon, please look at that person - there is similarity with Salomon, only angulation in back seems to be much better than Salomon has…:):):)
For the third week Saskin and Salomon are having a flatmate landseer Donna to themselves.
Saskin has a new friend who adores and respects him.
Salomon also has got a new friend who is always literally stuck to his back as a piece of velcro.
But I got myself a shadow who does not stay behind by even a step…
First in from the door in the morning is Donna, followed by Saskin. Gotten slobbered and chewed overnight, Salomon moves to the kennel for a nap instead of coming in.
True, life is not easy with this little bugger!
But Donna is great! She would make a wonderful lifeguard dog if her family would put more effort into working with her.
Thank’s a lot to all quests who remembered us and brought presents which made us very happy!
After the fifth wine bottle was opened we made a many significant decisions and we made plan of action for the next five years.
The most important decision what we made is: to form Leonberger-Mix Union. Unfortunately again owner of the female leonberger has decided to give a stake to fill our land with leonberger-mix dogs…
But our birthday party was great!
As I have lost my inspiration due to the heat I will try to make it short.
I have always thought of Salomon as the “craziest” leonberger my eyes have ever seen (grandma Milvi is not afraid of him without a reason), but now when Nemesis and Puffy are spending a little longer holiday with us I am glad to acknowledge that our son is not the “craziest”. There are worse!!!
Apples don’t fall far from the tree or to be more exact the tree doesn’t fall far from apples… Salomon’s mummy Nemesis is literally mad. And Puffy(Salomon’s sister), lets not even talk about her because everyone knows how her “roof” takes a hike sometimes but Nemesis…
Four-five times a day I was sung a serenade under my window so that even birds got quiet out of fear and neighbours running out to check who is being skinned…
And digging up the soil. I am not sure if Nemesis was looking treasures hidden by Saskin but every piece of soil was dug up with great joy. Fortunately Nemesis is smart enough to finish her agricultural chores when was told.
In the mornings when I let the dogs in the get-together was so full of joy that I had to grab the walls with my teeth and nails to stay balanced…
As the weather has been extremely hot and the dogs only have been sleeping then the real dog life usually began in the night.
I am surprised that any of the neighbours haven’t told me anything yet, their patience have been brought to test…
There is a Labrador Derbi on our street who is real “Houdini” escaping from the garden. Those escapings usually happen around 4-5am and if a white gorgeous appears behind our fence – what happens then!? Of course no leonberger can stay unresponsive..
All the yelling, barking and even roaring – that was loud! I definitely do not enjoy waking up early on Saturday morning!
But all in all our time spent together was great. Saskin and Salomon enjoyed every second of it.
